On February 8, 2026, the Amhara Fano National Movement (AFNM) disseminated a press release to the international community about the ongoing Amhara genocide in the Amhara region.
According to the press release, Abiy Ahmed Ali army generals such as General Admasu Alemu and General Zewdu Setarge, as well as Oromo Republican guards, have collaboratively committed genocide against unarmed Amhara civilians.
The killing spree has been planned in advance and executed after disabling the Internet and phone services to keep the massacres secret from the Ethiopian people and the world at large.
The weapons utilized to massacre unarmed Amhara civilians were drones, BM rocket launchers, heavy artillery, and mechanized infantry. The regions where the Amhara genocide was committed include North Shoa and East Gojjam as well as South Wollo. The Amhara massacre in the three regions has left over 120 civilians killed and over 40 homes demolished since the time the press release was disseminated.
We members of the Amhara Association of Nebraska (AAN) applaud and support the only representative and defender of the Amhara people: the Amhara Fano National Movement.
We appeal to world governments and organizations to acknowledge AFNM as the only legitimate Amhara people organization that militarily and politically defends the Amhara people from the infidel, corrupt, and unseasoned Oromo genocidist leader Abiy Ahmed Ali.
We members of AAN appeal to the international community, the African Union, and the United Nations, as well as to the international humanitarian organizations, to impose economic sanctions, diplomatic isolation, travel restrictions, and asset freezing on the Abiy Ahmed regime, his entourage, and his political and military appointees.
Respectfully,
Amhara Association of Nebraska
